Modern Apprenticeships

Taking on an apprenticeship is an ideal way for businesses to develop existing staff or recruit new ones.

Yours business will benefit from the new skills and qualifications an apprentice can bring and a big benefit to the employer is that apprentices work and learn at the same time!

Modern Apprenticeships offer a structured training programme, combining college study with on the job training over a four year programme. Training can be taken at craft, technician or management level.

Your apprentice will train towards an SVQ (Scottish Vocational Qualification) in their chosen occupation.

There are two essential parts to an SVQ:

College Training and assessment. A college assessor will award the SVQ by verifying the achievements in college.

Appropriate experience gained on site.
